Affectionately known as "Dr. V" by her patients and "Vini" among friends and family, Dr. Vineetha Vijayakumar brings elite, specialized expertise to our practice. She operates on the foundational philosophy that "the mouth is a mirror of the body." Because of this holistic approach, she practices as an oral physician rather than a traditional dentist, focusing on your interconnected systemic health rather than just your teeth.
Born and raised in India, Dr. V was the first dentist in her family, graduating dental school at just 23 years old. Driven by a passion for treating complex conditions of the head and neck, she pursued extensive, advanced post-graduate training in Oral Medicine and Radiology to specialize in diagnosing and managing complex medical conditions of the head and neck. Later, she completed an Orofacial Pain residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, gaining advanced clinical mastery in treating TMJ disorders, facial neuralgias, neuropathic pain, and dental sleep disorders.
Dr. V passionately believes in giving back to the community. In alignment with this mission, she holds a Master of Public Health from Florida International University, specializing in epidemiology. This unique background allows her to integrate data-driven evidence-based insights directly into her personalized patient care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. V enjoys spending time with her husband and their energetic 5-year-old son. She is also an avid golden retriever lover and enjoys staying active in the local community.
